Phillip D. Collins Remembers Michael

Michael Corbin was the first radio talk show host to provide Paul and I with a platform. He was the first person to appreciate our research and the potentially elucidating trajectories that we were following. He wasn’t concerned with commercial profitability, novelty, or trends. He was concerned with the value of the information that he was sharing with the public. His show wasn’t one endless infomercial, peddling sensationalistic videos and overpriced water filters. Instead, it was a road map for genuinely concerned activists and intellectually honest researchers. A Closer Look was a national treasure and the airwaves will be far less informative without Michael and his outstanding program.

Corbin, internationally acclaimed radio personality, founder of a national radio syndicated program “For A Closer Look”, pioneer of Internet-based alternative media and investigative reporting, has died at the age of 52.Michael suffered a massive stroke and was found in his car at the side of a Denver road by a passer-by.
